Membership at First Wesleyan

Membership at First Wesleyan church means committing to being an active part of church life. It means building relationships, living out God’s Word, attending church, and serving in our church community.

It means acknowledging your sins (1 John 1:9), believing in Jesus Christ (John 3:16), and confessing that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9).

For Wesleyans, membership means agreeing to the conditions of membership listed below:

1. Confession of faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to pursue holiness in all things.

2. Having partaken in Christian baptism.

3. Instruction in and acceptance of a commitment to abide by the Articles of Religion which are summarized in 299, the Elementary Principles, and the authority of the Wesleyan Church in matters of church government (listed in application).

4. A Commitment to live out the mission and vision of The Wesleyan Church through a discipleship relationship within the local church.

Are you a member of First Wesleyan Church?

If not, we would love for you to become a member!

Membership provides:

· An official place of belonging in our church family

· Eligibility to be nominated to serve in leadership positions

· Voting privileges in FWC elections

Any individual after conversion and baptism can apply for membership by:

· Submitting a membership application to the church office (available online or at the church office)

· Transferring membership through a request to your previous church

Membership Class is encouraged, but not required.

The Local Board of Administration meets every other month on the 3rd Monday, and approves new memberships. The next meeting is November 18th.
