First Wesleyan Church is located near the intersection of Nowata Road and Silver Lake Road in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Our campus is home to three ministries under the First Wesleyan Family of Ministries: First Wesleyan Church, Wesleyan Christian School (WCS), and Kiddie College.
What do we believe?
Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life.
We believe that those who are made new in Jesus Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit. We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.
What is our mission?
It is our mission to love God, love others, and help others know and love God. Our mission is defined by God through the Holy Bible in the words of Jesus Christ found in Matthew 22:35-40 and Matthew 28:19-20.
We intend to accomplish this mission through three simple concepts:
COME – GROW – GO
We invite people to COME to events and opportunities so that people can come to know Christ at First Wesleyan. We strive to help people GROW in their relationship with Christ through worship services, discipleship training, and Growth Groups. When people are growing in their relationship with Christ and other Christians, they recognize their need to GO serve in the church, the community, and the world.
